Our Simple Signing Service In The Park allows you to meet the requirements necessary to get legally married in the state of South Carolina. It is a great option for people who would rather not or can’t go to the courthouse. I created this option for couples that need to have their marriage license signed and don’t need advice about lodging, venues, flowers, restaurants, photographers etc.

If these days/time or location do not work for you please take a look at the other options that I offer. It is meant to keep things simple and affordable.

Please see below for all the details!

How it works: If you have read over the terms of this simple but sweet elopement option and you have obtained your marriage license and the 10:30 AM or 11:30 AM time slot and the day of Monday thru Friday, at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park is where you would like to unite your hearts as one please give me a call! If you are looking for other options for location, day, time or custom crafted ceremonies please take a look at my other options.

Marriage License. You must have a valid South Carolina marriage license to make your appointment. You can obtain your license at any South Carolina county courthouse. All of the courthouses are different in how they handle the process, you can call them directly to get information. The number to call the Charleston County Probate court is: 843-958-5192.

Make your reservation: The $85.00 fee is payable in full. This is non-refundable with the exception of a mandatory evacuation issued by the Governor of South Carolina. I will send you an invoice and you pay the fee by credit card.

Your wedding day: We meet at the park and I will ask you to hand me your marriage license. After I preform a brief but sweet ceremony I will ask you to go on a 10 minute ‘love stroll’ while I prepare the documents. This is a great time for you to have a minute alone with each other to relax, reflect and share a few kisses! When you return I will witness you signing the license and explain the process for obtaining ‘certified court’ copies.

Photography: I am happy to take a few fun and romantic iphone pictures of you after your ceremony (see slide show above)

License Filing: I will give you your copy in a special envelope that will have information about how to obtain your 'certified' court copies.  I will return the two Probate copies to the appropriate South Carolina county courthouse. These copies must be returned to the courthouse for your marriage to be recorded by the state.

Select your ceremony option: There are two different ceremony options for you to choose from.
